"Really impressed with NorthPointe and the top notch events held by Chloe. Tonight, a good size group came out for the Halloween Soirée and we had lots of fun and met some great folks. I like NorthPointe because there are some great retail and grocery options nearby and there’s definitely a sense of community."

"We really enjoyed our time at NorthPointe for quite some time until some big issues began occurring. In August we started noticing how humid our apartment was on hot days even with our AC on. Before long we had condensation build up and mold developing on all of our furniture, rugs, even on our clothing. My husband has severe asthma so we tried to take action quickly by notifying maintenance. They came and serviced the AC and changed the filters for the first time in over a year since we’d lived there and claimed the problem would be solved. When I asked what should be done about all the mold this issue caused already I was told I should clean it up myself and would probably need to throw away my rattan and wicker furniture because it would be impossible to get the mold off. When we continued to have mold and humidity issues for over a month so they put a portable dehumidifier in our apartment which did help, although we had to dump the water tank almost every hour because of how high the humidity was. It was clearly not a long term solution. When the dehumidifier started it would read humidity rates as high as 85%. After about 2 weeks they removed the dehumidifier and told us there was nothing else to be done. Given the health concerns this posed, we chose to terminate our lease and move out. We were offered no reduction of rent for these ongoing issues and spent so much money to deep clean all of our belongings from active mold spores. To make matters worse, management told us we were not the only unit experiencing these issues and yet no accountability was taken. Aside from this issue, the building interior and exterior were always so dirty and smelled so bad. There were also multiple break in attempts that we were notified of during our time here. The basement entry door was regularly broken and unable to latch shut and lock and “self guided” continued to allow access to unaccompanied strangers in the building even given these safety concerns. Think twice before renting here."

"I don't normally leave reviews online but after seeing some of the one star remarks I feel like I have to respond. My Fiancée & I have just resigned to stay on for our third year in these apartments. There has been some turn over in the leasing office but everyone we have ever had contact with was great and very responsive. Maintenance requests are completed within a few days of submission and always at a very high quality. The pool and clubhouse are amazing and the proximity to Harris Teeter is an incredible perk. (As an non-native Carolinian I didn't know about HT. If you are in the same boat: google it. I promise it's worth the look up!) This is a great place to live and not sure why they are receiving so much heat on here... I will say that is a young professional community for sure, but not in a negative way where there are parties raging on into the night. We have met some truly great people and even some Professional Athletes at the Northpointe events and just sitting by the pool. Again not usually an online reviewer but wanted to try and give people looking for a great downtown apartment location a fair representation."
