"Paid to have a toilet removed and installed as I thought this would be easy and stress free - instead the toilet isn't level. In another bathroom - I had a toilet I had already removed but the drain pipe where the toilet bolts hold the toilet to the floor was broken. I bought a repair ring from Home Depot and was going to install this myself (it only takes a few screws) and is an easy job. But I wanted an expert's opinion. The plumber used MY part that I bought from Home Depot, screwed it into the floor with 6 screws - then charged me $220!!!!! Outrageous. And no - this wasn't for installing the toilet as well - I did that. This charge was only for putting in a few screws. Big surprise - the toilet I installed is level. Called Drain Surgeon to ask for a reduction in my bill. Said they would call me back... Still waiting - been about three months."
"My sewer line backed up on a rental property in Augusta. I live out of state, so it is very important to find a reasonable honest company to take care of a large project like this. I had three companies come out and give me estimates, and it is a good thing I did, because the first estimate was outrageous. The Drain surgeon was much more reasonable and in line with what I expected. They came out that afternoon for the estimate and were able to get the job done a week later in one day.
