"Well, where did I start. We moved to Lincolnton from Grovetown GA. My son finished the 10th grade at Grovetown High School. Fully expecting he would start the 11th grade in his new school in Lincoln County we enrolled him and the school year started. Through an unexpected conversation with the Vice Principle he mentioned My son was in the 10th grade. Thinking he just made a mistake I corrected him and he said it again. Now I'm trying to figure out whether he or someone at the school made a mistake or if what he is saying is true. I let my wife know and in just a few calls we find out the lincolnton high school requires more credits to graduate than Grovetown and the credits he has only make him a 10th grader at lincolnton high school. This in itself was frustrating. How can two schools in the same state be so different in their requirements to graduate. Unbelievable! My wife starts a dialog with the school counselor. The end result per her emails is my son would be in the 12th grade next year if he finishes and passs all of his courses. He did. We get some correspondence in the mail a day or so ago saying he would be in the 11th grade this year. This is completely unsat. Of course we call the school and now they are saying he is 1 credit shy to start the 12th grade. The original counselor that said he would be in the 12th grade has since been "let go". The new counselor says there is nothing she can do. Well, if you are moving here from another county make sure you know exactly what the school is going to do before you make the Change. If there was was a way to designate no stars on the review I would. This school could fix this with one word. Waiver."
