Banfield Pet Hospital

"I dog sit & have had to make grooming & vet referrals. No longer will I refer Banfield. Bad experiences reported from both their grooming & vet services. Grooming half does their furminator treatment process. Had to have dog brought back in & have a manager do it over. It lasted 1 week & the shedding resumed. $52 not well spent! The hospital experience was such a nightmare my client canceled her pet plan & requested her pet's records. After surgery complications caused their furbaby to be up all night crying. Heart wrenching whining cries. Called Banfield at opening the nxt morning & was told they didn't have opening till 3 days later & referred to Cvets animal emergency...but the pet care plan is with Banfield...it's $160 just to walk in the door at covets like...wow. this iscthe short story. It's much deeper. Really Banfield should be sued. The complication was their botch! Beware! Petsmart is a fabulous place to shop but I can't recommend Banfield or grooming."

"So incredibly frustrated and feel like we were scammed. Have never paid as much as we did for a first visit for a pet. Our previous vet was so much better before we moved here. Banfield told us that we could cancel their care plan at anytime but conveniently failed to say that we would owe the remaining payments for the year. Extremely deceptive in their wording and while they handed over the contract to sign, they kept talking to my wife and asking questions instead of allowing her to read the fine print. We had to unfortunately rehome our dog and they won’t lets us cancel without paying for the entire year. There’s 0 chance we would have gotten the plan if we knew we couldn’t actually cancel anytime without repercussions because we knew there was a chance that we would have to rehome. They up-charge just to sell you on their care plan. We are in a very tough place financially at this time in our lives and feel very taken advantage of. Writing this review is a last resort for resolution in hopes that someone can see this and help resolve this if customer service is of any importance anymore."

"They are very nice and helpful but also very disorganized. I brought in my cat because he had hookworms. After picking up the medicine, I realized that they gave me 2 days worth of medication when the label said 3 days was needed. So I had to go back. After I gave the medication, I brought a stool sample to be tested to make sure it worked. After not hearing from them, I called and was informed that they cant find the sample anywhere and I needed to come back with a new one. I won’t be driving 40 minutes each way again because of their mistake. They are are great and helpful vets but make sure that you are in a close vicinity to the location and are willing to go back if needed."

"Save your money and go somewhere else. I went to have my puppy seen for a visit. They missed that he had mange even though he had hair loss. Didn’t stitch him up when he needed it. Charged us for and e collar that they didn’t give us. Took him to another vet and they caught the mange and stitched him up. Everything is over priced here; my visit was so much more affordable at the second vet I took him to. I called the practice manager and she just made excuses for not catching the mange saying it was only 1/10 chance of it being mange. Stated the wound didn’t heal due to him licking it which was not the case. I will never be bringing my babies back here and I highly recommend you take your pet to Van Crest Animal Hospital or another vet if you can."
