"I like the fact that there is discipline and no phones in class. I substitute in northern GA and I am flabbergasted by the lack of discipline in most of the schools...students need good teachers and discipline and good counseling to get ahead at this time in their lives!"

"This school does provide students with an exceptional education, and teaches kids to be discipline, hold conduct themselves with pride and honor and to strive for and achieve greatness. It also provides a secure and safe community, that gives off the feeling of being in a very friendly and welcoming environment. However the school limits students ability to grow, and to better understand them selves, as individuals. The school is also set up like a prison system, and there is a huge limit on the students free time through out the day since they are only given a 25 minute break out of a six hour and forty-five minuets school day. They also have three assistant principals and janitors that monitor the hallways during class, and lunch. During lunch there are only two locations students are allowed to be in the cafeteria, and the media center both technically observed by "security guards". The school is far to strict and while the community is friendly, the school tries to force you into it, with the dress code, and the different yearly fees that students are required to pay. Therefore, for a public school it is perfect if you wish for your child to grow up and be on the higher end of the middle class, but still have the same mind set as everyone else. This school is prestigious in its own way however it is very far from being a private school. Buford is just another school."
