"We at the City of Toccoa are in the debt of Angel Oak Home for their professional design renovation work at the city-owned Historic Ritz Theatre. I cannot emphasize that enough. The Historic Ritz Theatre was constructed in 1939 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The City of Toccoa assumed ownership and operation in 2014 and began significant renovation work to restore the structure. In 2017, we received a USDA grant to complete balcony, basement, and plaza renovations. The basement includes two dressing rooms and an artist Green Room. Our goal was to complete the basement renovations in an Art Deco style. We did not trust ourselves enough to come up with the proper arrangement, paint scheme, and decor. We have a professional design firm downtown - Angel Oak Home - so we asked them if they would be willing to work with us. From start to finish, Angel Oak Home meticulously helped us work on our basement renovation project. They picked out the paint colors for the floor, walls, doors, and trim. They ordered customized Art Deco vinyl floor cloths for each room (a beautiful and durable option for the use these floors get). They obtained for us a customized bench cushion to fit in our second dressing room. They helped us arrange all art and memorabilia in each room. They drove to Elberton to pick out our Art Deco countertops. They picked out all fixtures and hardware for each dressing room. They ordered customized Art Deco vanity stools. They picked out beautiful Art Deco sconces. They recommended sensible life safety upgrades for artists' comfort. They picked out an Art Deco-style table and chairs for our Green Room. I know this is an exhaustive list. And there are certainly things I've neglected to mention. The point of saying all this is that Angel Oak provided a highly-skilled, unique, and curated experience to the City of Toccoa, and their effort and work shows. Stepping into the dressing rooms of the Ritz Theatre is like stepping back into the Roaring Twenties. I would heartily recommend their work for any home, commercial, or governmental project. The fine folks at Angel Oak Home know exactly what they are talking about. And they go the extra mile to make certain you are happy when they provide that incredible finished product."
