"I cannot express enough how much we are in love with our tables! We knew we wanted a large coffee table, and when we saw the mulberry dinner table in the studio, my husband and I both knew that was the one. Obviously, because it was a dinner table it was too long to be a coffee table, but David said he could cut it for us and make it the size we wanted. We then went onto designing the table, which meant splitting the table vertically and put the live edge on the inside to build a ‘river’. We were able to choose from all kinds of colors, but we chose a more muted color - one that would enhance the color of the wood itself. When we measured it out, I asked if David could use the remaining part of the tree (which he would have to cut off to make our coffee table shorter anyway) for an end table. He said ‘Sure!’. We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome and would highly recommend David for your custom table needs. His attention to detail - even down to the legs of the table (which he builds and welds himself) is second to none! "We were so lucky to encounter Dave using a Google Maps search for custom live edge furniture in the area. We were looking for a dining table with an accompanying bench. From the beginning, Dave went out of his way to make himself available to us, shifting around his day plans to open up his shop for us on a Sunday afternoon! We spent the entire afternoon with Dave, learning about his work, his background, and the world of options there is to know about custom live edge furniture. Dave has every type of wood type you could possibly want to use: sycamore, maple, walnut, poplar (we went with this)... you purchase the furniture by the wood slab. Dave will work with you to co-create a vision for the furniture that fits your budget and aesthetic. Dave is lots of fun and a joy to work with, too: We even created a new type of design for the legs of the table, the "Vector"! Once we nailed down the furniture design to every minute detail, Dave set to work immediately. Whereas we saw 3-5 month delays for custom furniture with other makers and big-box brands, Dave completed the table and accompanying bench and delivered to us in 2.5 weeks and delivered the furniture and assembled himself. We couldn't recommend Dave more highly to anyone else looking to buy custom wood furniture in the Southeast. His passion, expertise, and joy for this work shine in his pieces."

"A year ago we came across Novak Creations during the 2019 Open Studio event; one of the highlights of the event for us. Dave’s work are really art pieces ; you could easily see that Dave loved what he does as he showed us around his work area and display room. Recently, we thought of Dave as we were having a hard time finding the right table for our screened porch. We went to see him, shared what we needed/envision and he took care of the rest.
