"When I called to make the appointment (2021), I requested a master stylist who was experienced with platinum hair. The receptionist referred me to Olivia and booked my appointment. She assured me Olivia was qualified and experienced with blonde hair. So I made the appointment. My hair did not come out platinum or blonde at all. In fact, it was an ashy brown. I’ll be honest, I didn’t hate it though it wasn’t at all what I asked for. I would have lived with it and liked it but it washed out after the very first shampoo. So it was a complete waste of money and time. I called and spoke to the manager. She offered to fix it and explained that Olivia was new and inexperienced with blonde hair. I went in the following week for a fix. My hair looked no different from when I walked in. Again, a complete waste of time and excess damage done to my hair with no results. I’ve lived in this area for almost five years and I have yet to find a stylist who is competent with platinum hair or even blonde hair that isn’t yellow or brassy. It’s extremely disappointing. Every single time I’m told that it’ll take a few visits to achieve the platinum color. Well after 5 years, wouldn’t my hair be platinum by now? Lastly, it was clear that my phone number was blocked after my appointment with Olivia. I had to *67 my number or use a different phone in order to get anyone to answer my call. Extremely unprofessional."

"This salon is beautiful. The atmosphere has a wonderful Southern-welcoming vibe. Upon entering you'll hear all the stylist having candid, upbeat conversations with their clients. I've been here twice. The first time I had my hair cut & styled by Sydney and it was an absolutely amazing experience. She was friendly and kind, and my hair felt fantastic afterwards. Sydney and my first appointment here was beyond a 5-star experience. My second experience was the exact opposite. I booked my appointment with whomever was available. I'm not sure if the stylist I had was having an off day but I ended up crying in my car post-appointment and deciding to never return to Salon Surreal. I came home, waited two days to decide if I was overreacting or if I really was mistreated, and ended up posting a full (negative) review. Shortly after posting my review, the owner reached out to me with a heartfelt apology. She acknowledged my experience, sincerely apologized, and expressed her expectations for her stylists and customer-experience alike. I genuinely appreciate her phone call and I really respect businesses that go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction."

"This salon is great! Clean, modern, and appropriately priced. You will get quality service and enjoy your service! I think for my full highlights, a cut, and an olaplex treatment its about 165 or 185. I am very happy with my hair and am excited to go back!"

"This is the best Salon in the Augusta area! Trendy and everyone is super nice! They have a huge selection of Bumble and Bumble and Davines products to choose from! Sydney is the absolute best person for hair color, highlights, cut, etc. and she will be doing eyelash extensions soon! She is the most talented, nicest, most wonderful hairstylist I've ever had! My hair looks amazing every time she does it and I always get so many compliments! Thanks Sydney and Salon Surreal! Can not give them enough stars!!! They are truly, The Best!!!:)"

"By far the best hair salon I’ve been to! Very impressed with how everything is set up and how spacious, clean, and cute the salon is! Tasha did an EXCELLENT job fixing my balayage! She was so friendly and made sure I felt relaxed and comfortable! I showed her an inspiration photo and she nailed it! I left feeling like a new person! I came in nervous to try a new salon but left very satisfied! Highly recommend her!!"
