"I just had a makeup lesson with Carolyne at The Velvet Edge Salon. It was amazing!!! It’s been a lot of years since I’ve seriously changed my makeup and it was time to learn new things! Carolyn listened carefully to what my process for applying makeup was now, which was very little. She then asked what I’d like to achieve. I wasn’t sure what my look should be, but through very perceptive questions she was able to come up with a plan for me that was exactly what was swirling through my head!!! She then began to teach me how to apply the makeup and skincare items. All the products were specifically chosen for my skin type, skin tone and preference for a light feeling of makeup that won’t make my face hot. She also knew that I didn’t spend a lot of time on my skincare and makeup so she devised a plan that I would be able to achieve in 15 minutes with practice!! She taught me about brushes and which to use to apply different makeup, how to blend my makeup and why! She also taught me about why she choose each product and the order in which I should apply them. As Carolyne applied each step, she wrote it down along with the name of the product, the color, how to apply, tool to use, and where to buy. I am THRILLED with my new look !!! I can replicate it myself at home too!!! Carolyne is a master teacher and makeup artist. She’s also a fun, warm person who you will feel instantly at ease with. The BEST thing I’ve done for myself!!!"

"This was the best experience! I haven't been in a salon in about 10 years. I usually have my friend cut my hair in her home. My fiancee booked a cut, style, and quinch with Sydney. It was such a wonderful experience. I was nervous going in but the environment is so welcoming and cozy. Sydney was so sweet and listened to my concerns and what I wanted.
