"Forsyth Park is 30 acres set in the Historic District of Savannah. The sidewalk around the outer edge of the Park is One Mile around. 200 year old Southern Live Oak Trees stay green year round and keep most of the sidewalks is shade. Couple of water fountains for the dogs. The two fort buildings were build early in the 1900's. Soldiers were trained to load & unload cannons before World War 1. Not until 2004 was one building converted to a Garden for the Blind. Something blooms there year round. The 2nd build a cafe & public bathrooms. Savannah College of Art & Design hold their Sidewalk Art Festival here every year. The last weekend of April students (future, present, graduated) come to the Park and draw the most amazing chalk drawings on the side walks."
