"I went in the shop in hopes of decluttering my home with all the “junk” I had with me, and the staff were nothing short of helpful and nice even though I’m sure it was overwhelming! This was my first ever pawn shop experience and I was slightly intimidated, but they carefully went over all of my items, gave me a price I was satisfied with, and cashed me out. If I ever need a pawn shop again, I won’t be going elsewhere!"

"IF WE WERE A WHITE FAMILY WE WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN DENIED SERVICE!!!! We are a BLACK family we visited this place on march 6 2023, I told the lady at the counter I was a first time buyer so I didn’t have all the information or knowledge., I was asking questions to my boyfriend because like I said first time buyer. I finally decided on the item and gave her my id , she went to the back and came back to ask for my boyfriends id even though he was not making any purchases but he complied anyway. The lady and the older guy went to the back spoke and came back and denied service. Their excuse was that my boyfriend was doing most of the talking and they felt I was buying it for him. I stated multiple times that it was for me I was paying I needed to provide id. No where in their policy does it mention that they need to check everyone’s id only the person who makes the purchase so why did they check his id? . Immediately we knew they were racist because if a white woman didn’t know about something and her white husband helped her they wouldn’t look at it like she is buying it for him so it’s complete RASISM .So We left went to another welsh location I walk in first and the guy in the store directs me over to the items I was looking for ,he started talking to me about the items as soon as my boyfriend walked in he said that he was told not to service us. The guy stated that the other welsh location told him to deny us service if we came. Which is crazy because we did nothing wrong. We went to a completely different pawn shop and I was still asking my boyfriend questions but they didn’t deny our service. Wish I could give ZERO STARS TOTAL RASISM AND UNFAIRNESS"

"The owner is racist and rude. Horrible customer service. Don't recommend going here Edit: Calling someone an "it" and blaming the "Race Card". Is also Very Racist. Noted that my review has met its standards. Hope people read upon this review and heed my recommendation of not going there."

"Never was given notice of item twice now that it was going to be pulled and I’m signed up for the text automated system. And they still pulled my item and won’t work with me at all. I’ve been doing business with them for almost 4 years. The lest they can do is pull it from inventory and work with a customer that’s given them this much business. Also being a veteran I expected a little more courtesy from the employees. To just not call or send the automated text out which I have proof wasn’t done they could have called which was how it was originally done till the new system. Edit: the owner Richard contacted me first thing this morning and was very polite and courteous and resolved the issue. I’m very grateful for his timely response and will continue to use them as I have been for coming up on 5 years. They are awesome establishment and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again Richard and Welch’s for working with me and caring about your customers. You guys are too notch and I thank you for valuing your patrons."
