"Heading into The Olde Schoolhouse for a bite, I was greeted with an atmosphere that’s comfortably unassuming, a throwback to simpler times that focuses on what matters most: the food. And oh, the food does not disappoint. The half-pound burger is a masterpiece, with its perfectly toasted bun, generous serving of melty cheese, and strips of real, crispy bacon. It’s the kind of burger that makes you want to savor every bite. The waffle fries on the side? Seasoned to perfection, they complement the burger like they were made for each other. But the star that took me by surprise was the fresh fruit cup. Unlike anything I’ve seen at a fast-food spot, it’s a delightful palette cleanser with its mix of sweet berries and fruit. It’s a testament to the unique offerings of this breakfast and lunch haven. No cut-off time for breakfast means you can indulge in your morning favorites any time of day, a rare and much-appreciated feature. Nestled on Paris Ave, right by the mile-long “The Sands” water attraction in Port Royal, The Olde Schoolhouse is more than just a meal — it’s an experience. "This is a great place for those who like an unpretentious and comfy atmosphere for a traditional breakfast. It all feels like a good old diner. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and you sense they’re really glad you’re there. The breakfast menu is extensive and mouth watering. One heads-up: Do not go here if you’re looking for a healthy and low-calorie breakfast! I ordered the “light” breakfast, and received a big plate of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sour dough toast, and sausage. Everything was delicious and well prepared…but it definitely wasn’t light! Having said that, the Olde School House is comfortable with what it is, and that’s a comfy place to go for an old-fashioned breakfast. Highly recommend!"
