"I went into the visitor center December 7th at 11 AM 2023 and I was met with an individual at the front desk by the name of John, who was extremely aggressive towards me and told me that I could not have a dog and almost followed me down the hallway on the way to The women's restroom harassing me. I advised him that it was a service animal and while I was using the restroom. I heard him down the hall. Continuing to loudly shout things at me. I am autistic with disabilities and I was afraid to exit the restroom and walk down the hallway to exit the building because of the individual at the front desk. We got into a Verbal altercation and I went back upstairs to my hotel at the Hyatt and had a slight nervous breakdown due to the encounter. it has spoiled my entire trip here to Savannah. when I asked to speak to his supervisor and to follow the chain of command he refused to allow me to do so, And was continuously verbally confrontational with me and very dismissive and rude."

"The main visitor center is on Martin Luther King Blvd, but we didn't know that and GPS took us here. Finding it was a nightmare down cobblestone streets. We did find parking at $2/ hr. The man inside gave us no information. When I asked what we should know, he pointed to the brochure rack. I asked about the cemetary tour and he replied, "Oh, you have to call them directly." It does have clean bathrooms which is a plus. We spent 2 hours walking down the wharf and back on slippery bricks and cobblestones and had difficulty finding our car."

"Popped in to get a lunch recommendation. The nice person at the desk gave us a great recommendation. It was close, tasty and reasonably priced."

"Nice River parkway to walk around and enjoy the view. Plenty of dining, ice cream shops and bars. A ferry boat runs back and forth across the river. Several shop still have historical decor with cobblestone floor and old brick walls. The paddlewheel boat also offers scenic views. The courthouse is also close."
