"Not so great of an experience. The staff that works there is nice but being nice alone does not get things repaired on time. Car Star had our 2021 Jeep Gladiator for almost exactly 6 weeks for drive axle replacement, wheel, rotor and brake assembly and few other small details. From the start no one informed us of exact detail repairs that were found necessary. As a week or 2 went by with several conversations with the front desk help and receiving misinformation I took it upon myself to call management and when I spoke to him it basically added up to was excuse after excuse. Some excuse may seemed believable but others not so. I gave them an inch of leniency and they or whoever took a mile. I even asked for help with a loaner car and or rental but over a few days of not getting back with me I called to speak to manager again and I had to remind him of why I was calling him back. When originally given repair times it changed multiple times. I honestly believe that they had a couple of legitimate issues in the beginning of why it was taking so long but also believe there is some inexperience there and lots of disorganization that contributed to this 6 week long repair. Also, after each initiated phone call and attempted follow up I finally learned through lots of misinformation and aggravation that it was best to call and talk to shop manager rather than the inexperienced help at the front desk. None of this was intentional I am certain but this person led me to believe different things that were needed and or being performed on our vehicle when in fact other unrelated mechanical issues were being addressed. To help make this very long repair up to my wife and myself I then asked the manager could he adjust the total cost repair bill and or help me absorb the $500.00 deductible. Over the phone he smirked and giggled at this request but I was serious. His response was he would have to ask the owner…… he never called back to give me an answer. He also never followed back up for almost 2 weeks and I called him back. He said they almost had all the repairs completed but it would be a couple more days or the following week. He did finally call few days later to tell us vehicle was ready for pick up. We went to lexington and spoke with him briefly to get info about the final bill and to pick up the vehicle. He was obviously very busy and was making this bill process and vehicle pick up as short as he possibly could. At last before we got keys to vehicle I asked one more time in person about a waiver or a small adjustment on the bill since through his own admittance some things could have been done differently. He looked surprised so it was obvious he never took me serious and plain and simple forgot he had told me he was going to check with store owner about possible discount. There needs to be accountability for managers and all staff. If there was accountability at work its like none I have seen with a good honest business. I have been as honest and as fair as I could be with this. Thankfully the vehicle is FINALLY repaired and we have it back. For future customers make sure you call as much as possible to try and keep up with what they are doing."
