ABF Freight

"ABF called to schedule a delivery for the next day. I asked for a time frame and was quoted 8-5. So I took the day off. At 5:30 I called in because no one showed up or called. I was told my delivery had been cancelled at 7:30 the morning of, due to incomplete information. Now understand this was information that they confirmed the day prior when they called me and again when I called in that night. I was then told "the day time people should have called you, but they don't always do their job". Interesting how that is my fault. The next peace of advice drives me insane. I need to stay home again tomorrow in case the delivery shows up, because if I am not there they may return it undeliverable."

"I purchased a treadmill from a Texas company. They contracted with ABF to deliver the unit to my house in rural, upstate NY. ABF's tracking info provided a specific delivery date...a date that I had relatives here to help me move the unit to the second floor of my house. ABF had to hire a local delivery service to get it to my house. When their local contractor failed to deliver because they were closed that day, ABF told me I was out of luck, and it was up to the treadmill supplier to pay extra for "Final Mile" services. In the midst of all of this, I was accused by ABF of treating their deliver guys poorly, when in fact, I never spoke to any of their delivery people. It is amazing that this company who claims to be experts in logistics is so hapless. Find another option. These guys obviously don't care about you."

"Absolute garbage company. Scheduled a delivery and then had to reschedule which is fine I understand things happen. Second delivery day came and they called again and rescheduled which is totally unacceptable. Tried to speak with the supervisor Jeff but he was gone for the day at 1:30 in the afternoon and the lady on the phone was even hesitant to give me the bosses last name. Called corporate along with some emails to some executives. Total garbage to reschedule two deliveries all because they have piss poor management skills."

"I received an email stating that my delivery would be between 8-10AM. No delivery during that time period so I called to find the next eta. I was informed that "I was mistaken (as to the email) even though I was looking right at it. My delivery would not be until "sometime" after lunch. The long an the short of it was a nasty experience with the dispatcher, who "wouldn't argue with me" I lost a very important meeting and now I'll have to stand in the rain to receive my package. I can't speak about the rest of the company, but I won't accept anything coming from Syracuse again."

"I will never use ABF again. Horrible company. Employees hate their jobs and are the most unhelpful people. They are unreliable as well."
