Fancy Nails

"Very disappointed in Fancy Nails. Yesterday, it started to snow, I needed a manicure. Went there since it was close to home. They said they were taking Customers, I asked a couple of times, no worries if you want to close because of snow. Everything seem to be going well. At the end of my Gel Manicure, I looked at my nails and they were all bubbly, especially my right hand. I questioned it. She sat me back down and redid the manicure. However, it was very rushed. Everyone wanted to leave because of the snow. One girl said they have to go to Queens. She took off the nail polish and started again. Because she was in a rush, she only did one coat, the top of my nails are missing polish, my cuticles all have polish on them and the tips of my fingers have the clear dried polish on them. This place is NOT cheap $42.00 for a gel manicure, plus tip comes to over 50.00 for a manicure that looks like a $10.00 manicure. I think they watered down the polish. Won't be going back. Very disappointed because it's so close to home."

"The owner witnessed one of her nail techs remove my nail polish and provided me with a subpar manicure that she rushed through and then asked me to pay (while my nails were still wet), and just left, yes after the tech got paid, she left me there. The owner took over and I was appalled at the customer service and the fact that my manicure was painted with so quickly and without patience and I was sent straight to the dryer with a manicure I was extremely unhappy with. I began letting the owner know my issue and she tried to remedy by adding more paint to the semi dried nails. Moral of the story, speak up and do not leave a nail salon until you are 100 percent satisfied with your services and do not make a payment until you are finished and see the end result , only then you pay if you are satisfied. Additionally, I would only return to this salon if you enjoy paying for a service while having their staff talk poorly about you in their native tongue. It’s down right unprofessional and discriminatory. All and all, it is a horrible salon, dirty and unkept, they double dip in their wax which contains bacteria which leads to infection; huge health code violation! I will never recommend this salon to anyone."

"I received a lovely manicure from Sophia and I saw the owner help a disabled elderly woman into the salon. The owner is so kind and professional. The staff is wonderful as well and the service was just what I wanted. Look forward to coming back soon!"

"Terrible, worst experience. I had called to make an appointment a few days earlier and i asked how much the acrylics would cost, they told me 58 dollars. once i went inside and they noticed i was only 16, they changed the price to 80 dollars and when i asked why, the man said “the nail shape and design is difficult.” for reference i had asked for short almond nails with only pink coloring, no designs. i attatched the photo of the nails that i got/ asked for. please explain how this, plain basic nails, is too difficult. never go here, terrible service and clearly scamming kids for any sort of money they can get."
