"Jim was quick to respond to an emergency situation of needing heat and furnace repair. Arrived, assessed, explained the issue and completed the job with knowledge and ease. Pricing was absolutely more than fair and reasonable. Highly recommend!!"
"I had my 15 year old furnace go out on me in mid January. It turned out to be a faulty gas control valve. I called Dowd & Son at 4:30 and they were at my house by 5:00. They installed a new control valve and had the furnace heating again before 6:00. Very reasonable charge and quick service. Great."
"We had been experiencing issues with our furnace for awhile, and had been trying for a year to a quote from another repairman. On Saturday, the furnace started smelling awful. Called the repairman, who wouldn't come out. I emailed Dowd & Sons on Sunday and received a reply within an hour. He came out Monday to check on the furnace, got one ordered and set up the appt to put it in. However, early on Wednesday morning our Carbon Monoxide detector went off so we were without heat. My husband sent Jim a text around 7:30, within ten minutes he had called back to let us know that he had rearranged his schedule and was heading to Rochester to get our furnace, and it would be installed that afternoon. I am so thankful that we contacted Jim, I don't know what we would have done if we couldn't get the furnace replaced ASAP. He obviously cares about his customers and his business. Highly recommend!"
"Furnace went out at my cabin in Birdsall, heat exchanger cracked and 23 year old furnace was shot. Jim was able to change out furnace in short order. Work was completed professionally and at a fair price. Would definitely recommend Dowd and Son and will keep his number for any future needs."
