"BUYER BEWARE ***Update: As expected, despite pictures clearly showing the shoddy work, Iron Works owners continue to tell the same roofing story. Once, again, the pictures speak for themselves--even if the owners don't care to listen. If it is the roof (shown in the pics as fully intact), then why did Iron Horse have to come out and replace the gutter materials, according to their owners' own account in their response below? Did you even think through your response before posting? It proves my point. The pic clearly shows that gutter is DISLODGED and the seam is compromised. The roof is not the reason that the gutter is falling apart. Continue to make embarrassing excuses as you wish. You're simply displaying the very dishonesty that my review is intended to show. SMH. It is also my understanding that Iron Horse was not licensed to and that it violated city code by improperly digging the backyard French Drain since it did not obtain National Grid clearance, which drain is also creating water problems. And, the "initial" roof pic was taken hours ago. Should I place today's newspaper beside it to expose more of your dishonesty? Again, feel free to stick to the roof story. Another update will come once it is repaired by a company that doesn't live in an alternate universe. To others reading this: Hopefully, you see the pic of the gutter falling off my home ... versus the excuses. Less than a week after I had gutters installed by Iron Horse of Syracuse in January 2021, leakage problems had to be fixed at two separate sections. Again this year, in the exact same two spots, the same problem: the leakage resumed. Last year one of the owners (Ben) first insisted that it was a roofing problem, but when the other owner (Eric) came with him after I pressed the issue, one section was replaced. The other section was sealed. The moral of the story? Despite the same problems, in the same two sections, video, audio, still pics and all … again, the co-owner (Ben) blames the roof—even when two separate Syracuse roofing company assessments say otherwise. My guess is that he’s likely telling the same line to other customers, which is why I’m posting this review. Videos and pictures, thankfully, clearly show what I consider to be the shoddy work of this company. Specifically and importantly, they show the roof edge is intact along the entire edge. More to the point, they show the huge gap between the soffit and the gutter that was installed in January 2021 by Iron Horse. Pictures do not lie. My conversation with the same co-owner today (Ben) made abundantly clear that he could care less. Initially he offered a refund when he thought I was buying his roofing story, until I called his bluff and said 'yes.' Then, his story changed. Again. If you can avoid this company, please do. You will almost surely save yourself a headache that’s hardly worth their lower pricing and quick (shoddy) work. I’ll post an update once I get these sections replaced by another gutter company that doesn’t operate ‘in the gutter.’ I'm guessing that a lot of the 5-star reviews from "customers" that have posted only 1 review are likely fake. That should tell you all that you need to know. Or, maybe it's just that every customer won't get the same 5-star service as the other "customers" here."
