"We went to 1833 restaurant for New Year’s Eve and it was lovely! The food was beautiful the winter squash soup and the beet salad ! Very savory and delicious! They had three choices for the main course and we had the sparerib over whipped potatoes and sweet carrots with straw potatoes and a au jus was absolutely amazing! The meat was perfectly cooked and the flavors were delicious and beautifully balanced. So good and beautifully done. And thanks to our waiter Adam he always makes us feel special and does a wonderful job! Wish I would have taken a picture of the beautiful food presentation."

"The SALMON & KALE BENEDICT. That dish inspired me to revisit the Hotel Oberlin. My family and I stayed at the Hotel Oberlin 10 years ago as a last minute decision. The Eggs Benedict I ate the following morning where good enough that ten years later I planned another stay. This dish did not disappoint. The hollandaise sauce and salmon had a nice light flavor that worked beautifully with the trout roe. I may have to make another trip and try some more of the menu items. I had the honor of meeting Chef Jim Barnhart who due to staffing issues that morning facilitated not only my entire dining experience but several other patrons. Thank you for a fantastic meal."
