"The best chicken over rice in Albany. The food was perfectly seasoned, the white sauce had just the right balance, and the combination of pita, cilantro, and vegetables was excellent. 10/10 update 01/07: chicken over rice really fell down in quality. it’s simply pieces of dry chicken over rice and some lettuce. white sauce tastes like rotten mayo. maybe a change of workers? 3/10"
"I had a lot of hopes for this spot due to the good reviews before mine. Figured to give it a try because my normal spot was closed. Maybe it’s an off day but both my combo and lamb over rice were salty. Maybe one day we will give it another try."
"Service was slow but it’s not their fault, we went during late hours. I normally hit up Shah’s Halal down by Lark street because they let you choose your salad options but Trio’s rice and chicken is better seasoned and more flavorful than Shah’s! Update: 11/19/2023 I went back again and got their Samosas! Their chicken Samosas are fresh and super delicious! Chicken over rice is still banging, very happy to see that the food is consistent!!"
"Phenomenal place. I both work in Albany Med and go to UAlbany and I’ve been meaning to find an affordable, open late at night place. Halal Foods are the go-to for this niche, but the others close to downtown, Shah’s, Express Chicken and Gyro and my former go-to Mr Halal either have deceased in quality or inflated their prices. Trio’s is my new go-to; fresh/hot food, generous amounts of sauce, equal proportions of salad, meat and rice. Has to be the most valid Halal place as of now. Staff is great too, they have a brotherly Ocky Bodega vibe."
"The food options are good. Tried the Trio’s special little boy. The patty was well seasoned. Contrary to the images the burger did not have brioche buns. Cheap price. This is not a restaurant, it’s a small store with a kitchen."
