Eyval

"Best salad of my entire life. After weeks of waiting, we finally made it to Eyval. Nothing much to say that hasn’t already been said down below, except that this cabbage salad is hands down the best salad I have ever had. There were so many flavors in each bite, with a constant nutty vinaigrette punch, and the added bonus of perfectly caramelized dates…Ugh, incredible. I will think about this salad for weeks to come. All the other dishes were great. We went heavy on the vegetarian dishes and then got the kabob koobideh at the end. I loved everything but if I were to pick one that wasn’t quite as big of a favorite of mine-it would be the eggplant. Could be a texture thing on my part, or the fact that we had already ran a marathon with five other dishes prior. Either way, I could see myself coming back and giving the eggplant another shot. The restaurant was my perfect ambiance–inviting and relatively brightly lit. The staff was the perfect amount of friendly and helpful. Overall a truly memorable meal."

"This restaurant is heaven. I just left and already cannot wait to go back. I apologize my photos aren’t great but I’m not the type to bring a flash to a table so that’s that. Where to sit: There are 3 rooms- we say in the first but the second or the third feels cozier. What to order: We ordered the whipped feta, cabbage salad, mushrooms, potato tatig and short ribs and everything was amazing. But if I had to choose, the cabbage and citrus salad blew us away. It had warm dates. Overall just very drooly. Their cocktails and wine list is small but perfect. Dessert menu felt small and not our vibe but. Their dessert drink menu was large and in charge. Overall delicious and cannot wait to go back!"

"We basically ordered the entire menu & there wasn’t a single item we didn’t stretch our stomachs to finish. If you’re only going to get a couple things - get both breads + the whipped feta (an unexpected gem), lamb ribs, Gheymeh Nesar, and while I’m not a huge fan of dessert - the saffron ice cream sandwich is a dream. Place is a bit loud to have a conversation & it was hard to get the staff’s attention. Tables were a bit small for family style."

"Spot is pretty much entirely deserving of the hype. Good service, appealing interior decor and music, and of course the food really shines. My pic of the lamb chops didn’t get saved for some reason, but we ordered those as well as yogurt spread, bread, carrots, and eggplant. I’d say the chops and bread/spread were the highlight for me. The cocktails are also high concept and delicious. My only note for improvement was that the carrots had way too much liquidy sauce and were a bit difficult to eat with knife and fork. Very interesting “3 phases of flavor” going on w that dish though—just make it a little easier to eat?"

"Everything here was so amazing, I can't wait to go back. The food was outstanding, every dish a surprise and every bite memorable. The lamb ribs were the most tender I've ever had, the squash was funky, and the eggplant had a multilayered flavor. Even the banana date cake had complex notes. The vibe of the place is nice, each room has a different style."
