"We really liked Sandy Island Beach. It's not very big, but it's not crowded, which is nice. Lifeguards are there to keep everyone safe. You can't bring alcohol to the beach, but that's okay because it's a place for families. Lots of families, including ours, go there. Kids have a great time playing in the sand, which is really soft and clean. The beach itself is also clean and pretty. It's windy, so bring some extra clothes. Even though they say it closes at 6 PM, the beach is still open, and they have a path that's good for wheelchairs."

"Small but nice state beach. The stones in the water just past the sandy beach are a little painful to get past but once past them the bottom is sandy and soft. Limited snack items is a nice touch."
