"I asked them multiple times before the appointment if they take my insurance and they said yes. 2 months later I get a $300 bill because they dont take my insurance. I'm new to NY so I guess doctors are scam artists around here ? Nice welcome."
"Before our appointment they told us that they accepted our insurance, and then months after the appointment they told us that they in fact did not accept it, and we would have to pay out of pocket. After talking with the insurnce company they informed us that they were never sent a claim and that they would pay for the appointment in full. Needless to say a claim was filed. After MUCH struggle on Occusights part they finally allowed our insurance to pay. And very rudly told us thats fine well just keep charging you 40 dollars every time we bill them( even though they never billed them). DO NOT take your business here, this comapny is a scam and difficult to work with in every way. Extremely rude staff. Beware."
"Occusight is fantastic! Dr. Mark Jacobson performed cataract surgery and a lens transplant on both of my eyes. I had very poor vision and have worn glasses for over 60 years I am now not wearing glasses and have 20/20 vision. After each surgery he called me later in the day to personally check on me. Dr. Jacobson is a great eye surgeon and genuinely cares for his patients! His staff at the office is tremendous and very caring, also! Dr. Jacobson is a “Miracle Worker”!"
"Glasses cost a fortune. Still haven't gotten one pair after 3 weeks. No one picks up your call. They are not friendly or welcoming like years ago. The thousands we have spent there as a family. Try getting in to see the doctor... Weeks wait for an emergency. Misdiagnosed my son 2 x. Too busy for decent customer care. I've always liked my Dr. ...Even still...is this place worth it? I feel like all they care about is money."
"Dr Goodfriend is so thorough in his eye exams and understanding of other medical conditions affecting the eyes that I am confident and grateful for his expertise. He's truly a nice man and a pleasure to talk with. Likewise, the staff has always been cordial and efficient. I never wait long for my appointment.
