The Delavan Hotel

"Definitely one of the nicer hotels I have stayed in! The rooms were a nice size and the bathrooms were extremely nice! The gentleman working at the front desk when we checked in was super friendly and easy to talk to, very very nice staff! The hotel was in a great spot for Canadians especially as all of the stores you would wish to travel for are well within a short drive. Overall we were happy with our stay!"

"I moved away from Buffalo 11 years ago, but visit frequently for family. I have stayed at every hotel you can think of downtown, northtowns, and Southtowns. Last night was my first night at The Delavan and I have to say- this is now my FAV hotel in the area. Amazing, luxurious, quiet rooms, SUPER friendly staff, great parking, awesome on-site restaurants for family to come meet us, and a great central location. Thank you Delavan, for giving us a home away from home. We will be back!!!"

"What an amazing place-The Rooms were nice and clean. The restaurants were 5 star. The staff were attentive and good people. I stayed two nights. Bought a spa package for My wife which included Dinner at their prime restaurant, and she got a message. I am a bourbon guy, they have a great selection ! Priced fair. Location is close to everything. We are looking forward to staying again!!"

"Was very surprised at how big everything is in this hotel! Definitely lots of room in the lobby and hallway! Doesn't make you feel crammed at all! Room is also very comfortable and quiet! Will definitely be returning next time I'm back in Buffalo!!"

"Id been anxiously awaiting trying this hotel since my friend booked her dream wedding with Salvatore’s. As a local, I had driven by and the lavish exterior and decor really made me excited for this wedding weekend. Unfortunately, I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth. As someone who has worked in hotels almost consistently since early adulthood, I know how important it is to make a good guest impression on first meeting and I can say for the most part the Front Desk staff were polite and cordial. I had almost an immediate issue, after finding out my reservation had been cancelled, even though earlier in the morning I received an email about “pre check in” just a few hours before. So, shocked I was then told my room type was no longer available and that the only room on the property was a 2 bed, queen room that was a handicap accessible. I was disappointed but even more so upon learning my original room rate would not be honored and told “well there’s nothing I can do about that.” Repeatedly. To not hold up the line of other guests from the wedding party I took the room given to me, but was throughly disappointed. From talking with other guests, some had equally bad experiences and even down to some major hiccups during the wedding itself (cake topper squashed, no vegetarian option as ordered y the bride and groom). Overall not a great experience and hopefully the property can take time to really iron out the kinks, and possibly understand that hosting 2 weddings at once can only be done if both can be executed to 100% perfection."
