"The worst facility I have ever been to. I took my son to meet with crazy Dr Malik. My son was diagnosed with depression (by 3 Psychiatrists at Columbia Hospital) and this doctor had the nerve to tell my son that he was faking it. He said you are disrespectful and just need structure. My son had threatened his life and was hospitalized for 8 days. I made a comment about my son being irritable due to the depression. I told doctor crazy that my son had punched a hole in a cheap wall divider I had bought. He turned around and asked my son "who do you think you are to punch a hole anywhere"? I have no problem with tough love and treatment but that was plain and flat out nonsense and unnecessary bullying towards a 15 year old. Meanwhile this guy treats crack-heads (I saw them at the facility while I was there)and everything under the sun and can't handle a 15 year old? He told me you know what mam, I can't treat your son, he's rude and I can't talk to him. I said uh DUH... he's depressed and has no desire to hear you or anyone else talk to him like he's a criminal. You need to go back to your whatever country and try that over there. That treatment and talk towards any person sick or not is not cool. Finally, he told me I needed to send him to boot camp and that this would treat his depression. My son is lucky that he has my support and his dads support. Many young kids do not have that. God forbid you say that to the wrong kid who will say "I'm faking it? I'm going to show you who is faking it and end up killing themselves because you are an idiot and think this is India where you talk to women and kids like they are trash. Mental health is serious Mr Malik. You're in the wrong business if you can't deal with children or adults with mental issues. You're an idiot and can't believe you actually practice medicine in this country. This is America and that garbage is not tolerated here. You need to learn some social skills and then maybe try to be a doctor. Please stay away from this place. I only gave them one star because if I didn't , it would not let me post my review."
