"First visit at CHOPS, and we LOVED it! We came to celebrate Valentine's Day early, and it was the perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner. The place was decorated with roses all around the bar, we loved the dark mood lighting and the classic italian/oldies music. I definitely got the speakeasy vibe. JP greeted us at the door and asked for both of our names when he introduced himself. He made us feel very welcomed from the start. He walked us to our table which had a personalized Reserved sign with my name on it - loved that. We were very impressed with the attentiveness of ALL of the staff. Everyone was so polite. We didn't feel rushed at all, and our food came out one by one.. they timed everything perfectly based on how fast we finished a course, which I appreciate. The food was excellent. They start you off with rolls that include their house steak sauce and special butter. Those were ok. We each got French onion soup (it was normal, nothing really special about it), petit 8oz filet minion (veryyy good and cooked according to our requests), burnt broccoli (delish), whipped mashed potatoes (to die for), and we split the chocolate cake with gelato (amazing and we couldn't finish it because it was hugeee). They have some really cool craft cocktails and smoked drinks. The bartender had a rolling cart that she brought to a table that ordered smoked old fashions. That was a special touch and cool to see. Honestly it's easily one of my top favorite restaurants now, and my wife agrees. She won't stop raving about it and was really happy I took her there. The ambiance, staff, food, and drinks were all amazing. 10/10 recommend taking someone there on a romantic dinner date. The bar area was really nice too! They have a 3.5% cc fee, so if that's an issue for you, then plan to bring some cash. For two people, it came to about $215 without tip for 2 drinks, 2 soups, 2 filets, 2 sides, and 1 dessert. They're currently running a 3-course pre-fixe Valentine's Day menu from the 9th-17th for $125pp + tax/gratuity."

"We came for our annual Christmas family dinner outing. We ordered the tuna tartar, wedge and Cesar salad, oysters, porterhouse and strip steak and multiple sides. Everything was absolutely excellent. Christina’s service made our experience spectacular. We will definitely be returning!"

"I went to Chops for the first time on a Saturday afternoon for a private event. My brother is one of the owners, so I want to disclose this upfront as I write my review. Chops is a high-end steak house in downtown Patchogue that is a prohibition/speakeasy themed restaurant. The place has a very cool vibe. They have an awesome bar with an impressive selection of craft cocktails. I started off with a hazy IPA from Montauk Brewing Company. For my second drink, I had a smokey old fashion. I love bourbon, and the presentation of how this drink was given to me was remarkable. See the attached video. I savored every sip of this old fashion. Since I was here for a private event, the food I ate was only appetizers. Some of the food we had was shrimp cocktail, lump crab cakes, Oysters Rockefeller, and baby lamb chops. All of the food was outstanding, especially the baby lamb chops. What I love about Chops is the dining experience. The food, drinks, and service are exceptional, but the way they treat their customers is what makes this a wonderful place to eat and drink. I look forward to coming back to have a steak dinner at Chops. I will also order another smokey old fashion."

"Celebrate my husband 50th birthday. The staff was very cheerful and friendly. The food was good. His meat was medium well vs. how he prefers it medium rare. Octupos little over cooked. Everything else was great. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Drinks are definitely pricey."

"We have dined, at quite a few steakhouses, and Chops is by far one of the most decadent. Greeted and seated with devine intention. Every aspect from the meal, ambiance, and tasteful music made for a most pleasurable experience. Our server and the entire staff were attentive and courteous. The food was phenomenal! Looking forward to dining here again!"
