"Very helpful with gift ideas and just overall super friendly! Even with my kids, which is not always the case with small shops."

"The Rhubarb is a semi-annual - or more - pilgrimage for us. If you are a lover of all things kitchen/cuisine related, you should manage to get there, especially during the Christmas season, though any other time is still more than worth the effort. What's in the shop is delightful, different and high quality.....how it's all arranged is a feast for the eyes (and often the taste buds....yes, there are often goodies to try).....and whether you've cooked for a day or for decades, there's bound to be something there to make your kitchen more complete! It's also a gift-giver's paradise! Beautiful cookware and cooking accessories are everywhere. In between, are tucked stacks of taste treats, mixes, condiments, spices and sauces.....enough to make the blandest recipe more exciting, attractive and delicious. Be warned, though...once you go, you'll be going back....over and over. P.S. I'm not sure how long ago I first posted the above.....but it grows more true with every passing year. I have often gauged the success of a business by its longevity in maintaining popularity and interest. Rhubarb is certainly a champ in that category! Now, I add to that its ability to survive the pandemic. This is a culinary shop, Ladies and Gentlemen...it does not so much deal in the necessities of the kitchen, as in the niceties. And yet, here they are...still doing record sales for the past several years. I chalk that up to the great array of utensils and comestibles, not to mention the owner's unique charm and the kindness of her merry band of assistants. If you haven't stopped in lately - or ever - you owe yourself a trip."

"I love this place! It is annual trip for my sisters and I. I always find unique tools and gadgets for the kitchen. They carry spices, herbs, oils, shrubs, etc. I could literally spend hours in this place. This past Christmas I bought an ointment for dry/cracked skin, that works excellent. It was intended to be a gift, but I decided to keep it for myself. Definitely, worth the trip from Rochester."

"The store looked interesting from the outside, so I went in. Not large, they are still lovely. I love kitchen gadgets, but they're more than that. Discovered that Rao's restaurant sells their marinara sauce in a jar - bought some at Rhubarb. Prices seem fair for the quality, and the clerk couldn't have been nicer. We chatted about gardens, cooking, and books. Worth a look and, if you find a treasure, worth a buy."
