"My kids are participating in the olean summer rec program and live it. I think it's great the city has a program like this free for residents."
"Went Ice skating. Sunday night open skate. It was packed, even for a full sized rink. There was maybe 50+ people on the ice at one point, about half of which were using the support cart things. I'm a fairly good casual skater, so I didn't have a problem stopping or weaving in and out, but for a newbie skater it may have been a bit difficult to get around or have fun. The ice was rather bumpy and uneven, which again wasn't really an issue for me. The rental skates ($3) were the sharpest rentals I have ever gotten, which was a super mood booster and very helpful when I had to stop quickly or weave around. It only cost $3 to skate for an hour and a half, which is quite the deal. The ice guards were very professional, and at one point made me smile when they helped a little girl skate around. Wish they would have somebody enforcing skating with the flow as I did lay a pretty nasty hit on a guy who was whipping around really fast into oncoming skaters. Overall a great experience. 4 stars, would definitely recommend."
"Had a great time skating with the family, it cost 5 of us less than $30 dollars to skate and that included rentals for all of us. Great way to enjoy some time with your family in the winter"
