"Hetal and Nicole are amazing!! They are very knowledgeable in their field. What differentiates them from other practices is how well they work with kids. Many times niche specialists have the expertise, but not the bedside manner to work with children. They have both. They make the atmosphere light and fun. This is essential, because it allows the children to learn in a seamless way. They also worked with me to get in-network benefit coverage, spending many hours on phone calls to the insurance company. I’m grateful to have this great practice nearby."
"If there’s a decision that we feel blessed we have had made in our little time in NY is to get Rachel Bashkoff as our son’s speech therapist. She is not just highly competent in her profession but the amount of compassion and empathy towards her patients specifically to our son is just remarkable. She went above and beyond. My son was speech delayed but to date was able to speak in full sentences. He started from just using one word and bringing our hands to what he liked but now is able to express his wants, thanks to Rachel for her expertise and unwavering support for him. Most importantly, she vouched for his capabilities and advocated for him when he’s perceived less as a child his age upon entering pre-K. I applaud Rachel with her stellar and humane service. She is the epitome of healthcare providers who are not just passionate in their fields but create lasting impact to patients. She treats our son and us as family and I believe that more than the therapy itself, patients do well if they feel the care of their providers. She is not just my son’s therapist but now we gained a friend . The other healthcare providers Hetal and Nicole are also beyond supportive to our son and you can always expect the best service in their clinic. Their practice is exemplary and your kids are in good hands with them. We are going to miss Rachel once our work order is finished but we will leave NY with a grateful heart knowing that we found a family and a loving, positive environment of a clinic. We will never forget her and will forever be thankful for all that she has done for us. My son will one day look back and thank Rachel for being a part of his challenging and yet wonderful childhood."
"Bottom Line Up Front: Rachel Bashkoff is an outstanding speech therapist who transformed our child's life with her passion, personalized approach, and unwavering commitment to their success. Her expertise, warmth, and effective communication make her an exceptional choice for speech therapy. Highly recommended her and the staff at Westchester Myofunctional Therapy! Continue reading for the long version: I am absolutely thrilled to write a glowing review for Rachel. She has made a remarkable impact on my son’s life and from the moment we began seeing her it was clear that we were in the hands of a true professional who cares deeply about the well-being of our child. First and foremost, Rachel's passion for her work is undeniable. She exudes a genuine love for children and a profound dedication to helping them overcome their speech challenges. Her enthusiasm is contagious, which has made our child excited about each therapy session, transforming what could have been a daunting experience into an enjoyable and enriching one. Our little one is excited to see her and every time we drive by the clinic he yells “Let’s go see teacher!” One of the most impressive aspects of her approach is her ability to personalize therapy to meet the unique needs of our child. Rachel conducted a thorough assessment to identify specific speech difficulties and formulated a tailored plan that was both engaging and effective. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, and she was always attuned to our child's progress, constantly adjusting the therapy to ensure steady improvement. Moreover, Rachel's patience and nurturing nature provided a safe and comforting environment for our child to express themselves. She made every effort to establish a trusting relationship with our child, which fostered a deep sense of confidence and self-assurance. This, in turn, empowered our child to practice and use their newfound speech skills both in and outside of therapy. Rachel's communication with us, as parents, was exceptional. She offered regular updates on our child's progress, shared valuable insights, and gave us the tools to continue supporting our child's speech development at home. Her willingness to answer our questions and provide resources for additional help was invaluable and greatly appreciated. But what truly sets Rachel Bashkoff apart is her commitment to our child's success. She celebrated every milestone, no matter how small, and continuously inspired our child to strive for improvement. Her encouragement was a beacon of hope during moments of frustration and uncertainty, and her belief in our child's potential was truly inspiring. In conclusion, our experience with Rachel Bashkoff has been nothing short of exceptional. We are immensely grateful for her unwavering support, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking speech therapy for their child. Thank you, Rachel, for making our boy’s words shine and we will always consider you part of our family."
"My 6yo son went in for a tongue tie release. It was such a great experience! I had insurance problems and Ms. Hetal walked me through everything. My son received Myofunctional therapy before the procedure, Ms. Hetal (the myofunctional therapist) is so good with children! She helped my son get ready for the procedure and also instructed me on what exercises to do with him at home. She even came in to make sure all was good on the day of the procedure! The Dr. explained everything very well and was very patient with me ( I was so nervous) and my son. The tongue tie release has helped him with his speech, eating and sleeping! His speech therapist at school has noticed the difference! The myofunctional therapies after the procedure are GOLD! Ms. Hetal is the absolute best! Her therapy helped my son become a better overall eater. My youngest son was also evaluated for tongue tie, he has diagnosis of autism- mild to moderate . They were so patient with him! He didn’t need tongue tie release but he did need myofunctional therapy. Ms. Hetal achieved substantially more in only one session than other therapist did in 3-4 sessions for the same matter. I highly recommend!"
"I’m so glad I’ve gotten to work with Westchester Myo! Hetal provided me with a thorough, holistic evaluation and plan for fixing my swallowing habits. She is so encouraging, kind, and knowledgeable. Throughout the process, she explained the reasoning for each of the exercises so I understood why I was doing everything and how it was benefiting me. It was fascinating to learn how many things are connected and influence each other. It's clear how invested they are in helping their patients!"
