"Despite it being a cold Saturday after Thanksgiving, it was open. We saw most of the animals including Lions, Mexican Wolves, African Painted Dogs, and more. Always creepy and yet exciting to see a lioness stare at you like you're lunch once she gets out of the cage."

"Great value for the cost. We saw lots of different animals even though it was a pretty chilly day (early October). We had a great time and will definitely make the trip to come back another time."

"i think that was the most depressing zoo i’ve ever been to. i can sort the animals into three categories: 1) pacing anxiously 2) sitting completely still doing nothing 3) running up to you when you walk by and pushing up against the side of the enclosure to get out. it was really upsetting to watch. the beavers were gnawing on the metal fence… zoos should make you feel happy, that just made me sad."

"There were several animals to see, most were sleeping or in their homes, difficult to see but animals nonetheless. I was appalled by the lack of landscaping and overgrown weeds both in and out of the animal enclosures. I overheard a man say “I guess I should have brought my weed eater with me to help me find the animal in there”. The place has a lot of empty cages to walk through and areas that could use some serious upkeep, a lot of potential just needs better care- I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back to this zoo sadly."

"My husband and I love animals, so we booked an "animal encounter" and had the best time! There were two very knowledgeable and friendly zoo educators who showed us three of the "animal ambassadors." You could tell that the animals were well taken care of and were super friendly. We got the "photography package" and it was well worth it! After the encounter, we walked to all of the exhibits. This zoo is a nice size - not so big that you're walking all day and not too small. Some animals were taking a break (it was a hot day and they are animals! Not the zoo's fault if all the animals aren't visible all of the time!). There were a few new exhibits (emus and river otters!) And some under construction, showing that the zoo is continually improving. All in all, it was a great day trip and we will definitely be back!"
