"Hudson Valley Karate is our second home!!! My son started in January 2022. The next month in February which is family appreciation month every year where family members get to train for free for the month!! I decided to train along side my son to help support him and I fell in love with the program and the rest is history!!! Now A year and half later we will be at a red rank level in a short few months and on the same track to becoming a black belt together!!! This is not just a school, it’s an entire community from the little karate rangers to adults. The events they hold outside and inside the school that give everyone an opportunity to come together and build relationships with one another and have fun doing it! The instructors truly care about all aspects in these kids lives. It’s not about the belts . It’s about learning and becoming what those belts mean. Karate is not a sport it is a way of life. HVK is where it’s at! Tangsoo!!"

"My sons have been going here for about a year and a half and I highly recommend. I have definitely seen some improvement in their attitudes. They have also gotten much better at the skills they are learning in class and they are more confident at karate, home and school. And I love that they organize fun events for the kids and families to socialize outside of classes: Easter egg hunts, Trunk-or-Treats, summer picnics, dance parties, etc."

"Children will have fun, staff will remember your child’s name and they will always address you politely. The big problem is that it’s insincere and the motivating factor is money. This is a very costly program that will always require gear/package upgrades, high monthly fees & contract renewal fees. They do not teach children the history or actual purpose of martial arts. I would highly recommend visiting other studios before enrolling at HVK."
