Located at 920 Albany Shaker Road in Latham, just 1.5 miles from the Albany International Airport, our physician-owned and operated practice offers evaluation and treatment for a wide range of eye diseases affecting children. Our team includes four pediatric ophthalmologists, one pediatric optometrist, one orthoptist, and an optician, all dedicated to providing the best care for our young patients. We also specialize in treating adults with strabismus and double vision. Our optical shop, designed specifically for children of all ages, offers high-quality frames and lenses with a warranty package covering replacement of damaged frames and lenses up to three times in one year. New patients are welcome, and we encourage filling out required forms before your visit. Masks are optional for patients and family members who are symptom-free, but those who have tested positive for COVID are asked to wait 5 days before visiting the office. "My experience was not a good one with this doctor. My daughter would still be here today if this doctor paid more attention to abnormal lab values and cancelled procedure which is elective, instead he chose to move forward with procedure which led to my daughter arresting on the table, so many mistakes happened that day from nurse anesthesiologist to Dr. Simon himself which led to catastrophic life altering events in our lives. My daughter Sarra Anne might alive. My dream of watching her grow into a beautiful girl and marry and maybe have children are gone and I now visit her in a cemetary"
"Started taking my daughter here when she was 9 months old for an astigmatism. In first grade, we were told by a teacher that she was writing at a slant. We brought her in and was told everything was fine. In second grade, teacher was concerned about her vision and she complained she was having trouble reading the board and struggled in school. We brought her in and we were told that she was playing games and lying. Found their response unacceptable and took her for a second opinion as when she looks for distance her eye turns. Come to find out she is near sighted. Since getting her glasses two years ago she has been on high honor roll at school and has needed her prescription changed a couple times since the second opinion. Will never recommend."
