McGee Pavilion Academic Alley, Alfred, NY 14802

The McGee Pavilion, located at Academic Alley in Alfred, New York, is a cutting-edge facility for the School of Art and Design at Alfred University. This award-winning institution received the International Architectural Award in 2012 and offers a range of innovative spaces for students to explore their creativity.

On the lower floor, you will find flexible ceramic classrooms and studios, while the second level is home to new sonic arts, video, and interactive arts studios. The third and fourth floors house the Robert C. Turner Student Gallery and a "black box" exhibition space for electronic media.

The Robert C. Turner Gallery, located on the top two floors, is the largest gallery in the School of Art and Design and is entirely student-run with faculty guidance. This unique space allows students to gain real-world experience in running a professional gallery.

The lower levels of the building feature state-of-the-art facilities for sound design, video, and interactive art, as well as flexible spaces for senior studios and exhibition areas for Ceramic Art instruction and critiques.
