"I cannot in good faith give this office a 5 star rating due to the conduct of the office manager when calling about a billing issue. My bill was not high to begin with, but due to some other medical issues and medically related financial obligations, I was not able to pay this balance off after the first statement was received. When I called into the office to discuss this issue further and explain my situation, I explained to Lisa who works in the front office what was discovered on my bill. She deferred me to the office manager to which I explained the same. She immediately became rude when I simply tried to provide feedback on something she had mentioned when explaining how their billing worked. It progressed further when talking about other billing experiences I have had with URMC and RRH. Their bills at least indicate if patients are unable to pay in full to make payment arrangements, however this organization does not have that listed and simply lists that payment is required in full when the bill is received. Additionally, URMC and RRH also give patients 4 months to pay a bill off before assessing late fees or forwarding accounts to internal collections. The office manager should receive a crash course in manners, compassion and empathy and lose the attitude when speaking with someone who is not giving them a hard time or being rude. I will say that Dr. Matthew Bessette was great when I interacted with him in the office to discuss an issue with my knee and would see him again."

"The receptionists obviously forgot to delete recording about office being closed because it was 9:40 am before I was able to talk to someone because I got the weekend message. I was inquiring about becoming a new patient to Rola Rashid. I had seened Dr. Carrier and Dr. Bessette previously, who is in the same practice with Dr. Rashid. My surgeon who had treated me for my left shoulder and right elbow had retired at the end of 2016 and no one took over his practice. I was told that they would not take me on as a new patient because one was a work related injury over a year old. I attempted to explain that I was treated for the workmans compensation case years earlier but as of lately my shoulder had been bothering me again and would like to see someone. Answer was NO and no recommendations as what to do to receive treatment. Looks like it was a sign to run, not walk to another caring and competent physician."
