Optum - Island Medical Bethpage

"If I could give them zero stars I would. Ever since they changed from prohealth to optum they now don't have extensions to get ahold of your doctor. You press option 1 and never get connected and the rare time that you do all they say is I'll leave a message for your doctor and call you back and they never call you back. What happened to this place. Do not get me wrong doctors are nice if and when you talk to them or get a appointment to see them in person both are near in possible these days. Optum island medical go back to pro health or just plain island medical you were much better then."

"My husband and I are patients of doctor Douglas Mund and Jason Fishbein. I speak for my self and my husband when I say the doctors and staff are extremely caring at the bethpage practice. Most recently my employer changed insurance the new insurance company denied the medication which I need and have taken for over six years. The doctor and the staff at the office we’re extremely helpful they submitted an appeal and gave me Medication to help me with the pain. Today I found due to the letter submitted by the doctor the insurance approved my medication. Im also grateful to the staff for the numerous times they had to submit documents. And so very grateful for the care and support I have received from all at the bethpage medical facility that saying thank you doesn’t seem enough. Thank you!"

"I have been going to this office for 7 years now. Ever time my experience is beyond reproach. To say the staff is always on top of their game is a understatement. The wait is never long, and afterwards the staff guides me towards the doctor’s instructions making them extremely easy to understand. My primary doctor, doctor Nestola bedside manner is out of this world I don’t think this man knows how not to smile. He always makes sure that I feel comfortable discussing my health concerns no mater how uncomfortable they might be. The office is always very clean as well."

My doctor there is Dr. Conan Tu and he has always gone above and beyond for me. The front desk and phone receptionists are always very welcoming and helpful. There are also many different specialists in the office which is very convenient because I have been able to have many different issues addressed in the same office."
