"I miss the days of Pembroke Family Medical. The practice has gone downhill since becoming part of Oak Orchard. I called the office earlier this week for an appointment. I was greeted by the automated call system and then waited on hold for FORTY EIGHT MINUTES before anyone came on the line -- only to be told I was deactivated because I did not get regular physicals during the COVID pandemic. But that might be a good thing, as I'm now looking for a new PCP that doesn't take FORTY EIGHT MINUTES to answer the phone. Pembroke Family Medical used to offer personalized, high quality, small town medical services. Oak Orchard is corporate medical care at best -- too many offices and not enough staff."

"The Corfu Office is a disaster. The staff is rude, the facility was filthy, and the exam was a joke. I wish I could give zero stars. I am writing to advise anyone thinking of switching to Oak Orchard to find a different provider. I went for a yearly wellness visit, and have no health conditions. As I was walking through the building I was struck by how dirty things were. Not just a daily grime, but the dirt built up in corners and on the walls. During my actual visit I was shocked by how little personalized care there was. As the provider finished things up she said (in regards to the yearly blood work), "It doesn't matter what the results are. I'm going to tell you to lose weight and eat better anyway" and laughed. Excuse me?? Three months later I received a bill for the exam. I was confused since this was my yearly wellness visit and should be covered. This is where my FOUR MONTH attempt to have anyone at the facility respond to my question began. I wrote messages in the portal, I called and stayed on hold for 45 minutes only to be told I would be called back and never was. Once I opened a claim with my health insurance company to dispute the charge did I get a response. And the response? It wasn't a wellness visit. It was to "establish care" which is not covered by insurance. Please learn from my experience and seek care elsewhere. Thankfully, I already have my next visit scheduled with another provider who literally laughed when I asked them if this visit would be considered a wellness visit. They happily said, "of course it is"."
