"I don't write a lot of reviews but my experience was worthy of it. From the time I called and was given an appointment, the polite reminder call the day before and the excellent exam that I received from Dr. Barbarossa. I think this was the longest and most thorough eye exam I ever had. I did not feel rushed and all of my questions were answered. I was referred by someone who also just had one visit with them. My insurance IS accepted and I got a very nice pair of glasses with all of the trimmings for so much less than I paid in the past. I would like to add that I checked my insurance website to make sure it was accepted. I don't understand the negative reviews for uncovered insurance. Do your homework. For the folks that wrote the bad reviews, perhaps they did have issues but I can say I had the best experience. Thank you!"

"I was referred to Buffalo Eye Center by a friend and I had a great experience. I purchased 3 pairs of glasses (1 clear, 1 sunglasses, 1 for reading). It was a bit pricey because I ordered all the extras (no glare, hard to break glass, etc.) I went over the bill and had no issues with it."

"I called to make an appt for my wife who is deaf. Right away I was met with resistance because someone would have to have their mask down so she could read their lips. I now know why they gave me a hard time, Buffalo Eye Center does not want deaf or handicap patients! The technician we met with had a clear face shield that was clearly in used condition so there was no issue with pulling a face mask down, they just don't want deaf business. Further proof of this is that they kept us waiting for 35 minutes in the first waiting room, then after 25 minutes in the 2nd waiting room, Dr Gulati skipped us. When I asked Maria Galla why we got skipped, she lied and told me they were here before me. I told here that they came in to both waiting rooms after us, that was not true. Then Maria told me that they had their appt for a year and ours was just put in as an emergency the day prior, again another lie because the receptionist told me that they had an opening the next day when we made our appt. Our need was not an emergency. THEN after lying 2x Maria very arrogantly says we could go somewhere else. So yes after 1 1/2 hours of waiting patiently, being lied to, then disrespected, we did leave and will tell everyone about it. Buffalo Eye Center does not want deaf patients and Office Manager Maria Galla is arrogant and unprofessional. It would have been better for her to say something like, the doctor wants to spend uninterrupted time with you where he is not rushed to diagnose your wife's issue. But instead Maria's stance was combatant and her tone was indignant. The patient 2 people in front of us actually fell asleep in the waiting room because she as waiting so long. We have lives and they don't revolve around doctors who book too many people for the same hour. My wife and I are offended by Mara's very clear message that they don't want our kind of business and we can go somewhere else. They expect you to wait and be happy about it without questioning them."
