"I would rate this place zero stars, but can’t. My daughter came in with a wrist injury, most likely sprained, but we don’t know because they didn’t care about her enough to see her. The nurse who was in triage, Marisa, said she would give her an ice pack for her wrist, but never did. They completely disregard children as there was another child waiting in the ER. When did the health of children start getting ignored by an emergency department? Not to mention the red head was snippy and rude when I asked her about the billing for only being triaged."
"My name is Arielle and I am compelled to share a deeply troubling experience I had at St. Mary’s Emergency Room. My visit, which was due to chest pains – a symptom that typically warrants prompt and serious attention – was marred by significant neglect and mismanagement. I spent an alarming 10 hours in the ER, and astonishingly, for the first 8 hours, I was actually forgotten. The staff had not even remembered that I had been triaged. During this time, Dr. Lee, the attending physician, visited my room only twice for a total duration of about 5 minutes. This brief interaction was grossly insufficient to address my health concerns or to communicate a clear plan of care. Though Dr. Lee mentioned a CT scan, the actual execution of this plan was significantly delayed. As a result, I found myself in a position where I felt compelled to leave the ER voluntarily, still without any understanding or resolution of my health issue. Throughout my extended wait, I observed a consistent pattern of inadequate care and poor patient management. It became evident that my experience was not an isolated incident; other patients in the ER also seemed to be receiving subpar attention. While it was a busy night, the fundamental duty of providing attentive and timely care seemed to be severely compromised. Dr. Lee’s approach to my condition was both dismissive and vague. When I decided to leave due to the prolonged wait and lack of attention, her response came off more as a scare tactic than as genuine concern for my wellbeing. This experience has left me deeply concerned about the patient care practices at St. Mary’s ER, particularly under the supervision of Dr. Lee. It is distressing to think that such neglect could occur in an emergency setting. I hope that sharing my story will lead to necessary changes in the ER’s protocols and improve the standard of care for future patients."
"Just had a surgery there and the team was the absolute best. I had complications after the surgery no fault of theirs. The ER is filled with wonderful people as well. Definitely worth the travel from Gloversville to get good Health Care from compassionate people"

"Took my fiancé here twice. Once for a severe allergic reaction and that was the only time he was seen right away. Had one nurse made weird comments on race and that was the best time. The second time we brought him in for stitches and we were there FOR 10 HOURS. He used his sick time to get seen. Only for it to be too late to get stitches. Like if we had come in and they said the wait was going to be very long we would of gone else where. Now he has a 1/4 inch gash on his eye that’s healing terribly. They didn’t even disinfect it. We just walked out. We waited in a room for 3 hours and the waiting room for about 7. His treatment would of taken 30 minutes. They had one dr on the ER and like 3 nurses DO NOT GO HERE. Let this hospital fail as it should."
