"My husband and I live in Cleveland, Ohio and he travels to Erie, PA to see his GI doctor. This is not a review regarding the doctor, but more importantly the staff in the office. Recently my husband has been feeling ill, resulting in the suspicion of a possible flare of his Ulcerative Colitis. His last appointment was November 5, where he got blood work to confirm. It is now December 3, and we have STILL not received any information regarding his blood work. We were told that they would call with the results during the week of November 5th. Now I try to be an understanding and patient person, as I work in healthcare myself, but this is absolutely unacceptable. This is not advocating for your patients, this is not safe for your patients and this is poor work ethic on behalf of the caregivers in your office. My husband and I both called today to get an update, seeing as he is not feeling well still, and we were treated with disrespect, a lack of caring for our concerns and a lack of initiative to take action. We were told the Doctor is in rounds and will get to you sometime later today. When we explained the urgency of the situation, the woman we were speaking too could not care less. Mind you, even if we get this blood work today, the results are now almost a month old. He wasn't taken care of three weeks ago when he was there, what makes us think that we can trust the word of this office while we're an hour and a half away and just being pushed off. Again, this is no fault of the doctor, because how could he know to contact us if the front line staff wont even relay an urgent message to him??? I am very unhappy with our recent encounters with your healthcare system and I want this to be taken care of."
