"This place is a dump. This is probably the worst nursing home/rehab facility it rochester. If there was an option for 0 starts o would have selected that. I wouldn’t even send my loved one here to die. This place is horrible my father has had to be sent to the hospital 2 times in the last week due to the lack of care from the nurses and aides at this facility. It’s all about the money to them. They don’t return phone calls, they don’t correct anything wrong that is brought to their attention. They let the patients sit for 4/5 hrs sometimes after a bowel movement without checking on them. Speaking with the higher ups and administrators doesn’t work either as they just pass the buck and can’t seem to control their staff. Please please please think hard before deciding to send your loved one here."

"My grandmother was in the behavioral unit with Alzheimer's for a few months before passing away. When I came to visit her in her last days, the staff was amazing, caring, compassionate and treated my grandmother with dignity until her last moments and after. Everyone was helpful, answered so many questions and concerns, and made sure we were eating and drinking. I would put 100 stars for the staff if I could. I'm putting 4 stars instead of 5, because the rooms were not very warm and were drab. I wish they were a little nicer and more homey for the insane pricing of the facility."

"Our loved one suffered a stroke at age 65. He has a complicated medical history including diabetes, atrial fibrillation and bipolar disorder . The medical care, rehab therapies and skilled nursing care at this facility were excellent. The patient care techs were prompt in answering the call light, and diligent in administering cares. The food was good with special holiday meals. The doctor and PA and NP were very approachable and willing to give updates. I am so grateful that he found a bed here. We love this staff. They are angels on earth."

"Two years ago this summer, both my mother-in-law and my aunt-in-law were admitted here. At the time, if you had asked me if I expected either to be alive in two years, I would've answered negatively. Fast forward two years, both are still here, and their quality of life, while severely limited due to Alzheimer's Disease, is about as high as can be reasonably expected. We advocate consistently on their behalf, and I am sure there are times when the staff cringes at the idea of seeing us there. But they are always cordial to us. The place is much better run, and the staff far more caring and compassionate, than at Strong Memorial Hospital, which, while having a different mission, is nonetheless also part of the URMC umbrella. I won't pretend that everything there has been perfect -- it hasn't. But when it comes to the most important things -- keeping them alive and limiting decline in quality of life, and doing it in a caring and compassionate manner -- they've done an amazing job."
