"Let me start by saying The rice and beans at Ilegal are in a class of their own and a must try. We got two gringos and 4 alpastor both of which were incredible. The tortillas were fresh and the perfect texture. Everything bursting with flavor! Wish I could add photos but I ate all the food."
"I think the only pain point here is the price point you might wince a bit upon seeing the price per taco at that size but honestly in this economy who knows what is normal anymore. The salted beef was very good and the Al pastor was sweeter than spicy which was honestly a nice change of pace for what I'm used to in the area. The service was great also. Very well could be the best taco that side of Bushwick."
"We wanted to try this new taco spot in Bushwick!! We’ve heard great things and we wanted to try. We walked in and there were no pastor tacos left, but it was a Sunday @10pm so I guess understandable. We had 4 carnitas, 2 barbacoa, carajillo and some esquites. It is a little too pricy for what you get. The people behind the bar were very nice and very attentive, but food felt like it was from the very bottom of the bottom, again… I understand that is Sunday pm however, food should be as fresh as any other day at any other time. We need to plan a better timing to hopefully taste what everyone is talking about. Sadly, nothing remarkable for us. I grew up in Bushwick and I hate that we can’t get an ok Mexican restaurant/ Taqueria."
"Phenomenal new taco spot on Wilson. Their chicken is great (gringo as charged ;) ) but the Al Pastor stole the show for me, as it’s not run of the mill. The marinade is flavorful and fruity but not overtly heavy, so I could’ve had three (and will next time I’m there). The interior is also smart without being overwhelming, blown glass lamp shades from Guadalajara and a spacious backyard and front patio with nice Acapulco chairs. Basically, try it for a group get together out back or quick takeout in front and you won’t be disappointed either way. Will definitely be back."
"Outstanding LOADED tacos! Loved the food, even the chicken tacos which normally I think are boring, they make them so flavorful! Highly recommend Al pastor, they grill the meat on a piece of pineapple. They will soon have more seating in the back and a full bar, so looking forward to coming back for tacos and a drink!"
