"They asked me how I heard about the place and acted like I didn't belong. Not friendly at all. Sad cus They did such a good job."

"I have been going here for over a year, and have had multiple people cut my hair and they give me the same generic haircut every single time. I have tried explaining it to the people here hundreds of different ways, provided pictures, taken things one step at a time and even had them repeat it to me on more than a few occasions. Every single time no matter what I do, they give me the same haircut. It is infuriating, and I would have stopped going a long time ago if I was not so stubborn. The people here are excellent at cutting hair, most of the people have been working for over a decade, that is not their issue, it is far more basic and fundamental than that. Today was a perfect example, I go in and tell the person who is cutting my hair — it was Chase, but I have had this problem with everyone else — to cut half of an inch off the front and back, and to trim the sides as much as possible with only scissors. Simple, right? I tell him right before we start that it should look something reminiscent of an 80's mullet. We start and he immediately starts on my back and cuts off all of the hair up to my ear, I cut him off realizing what he's doing, but it is too late. He tells me he thought I meant to trim off as much as possible off the back! Asiding the fact I said cut the side as much as 14 times, I even said I wanted a mullet right before he started — which is the opposite of what he thought I meant. If you were in this situation, would you not at least think you might have the wrong idea after the customer tells you to do the exact opposite of what you originally had in mind right before you start? Lastly, because my hair in the back was down almost 4 inches, I amended and asked the front to be cut an inch instead of a quarter of an inch. What does he do? Cut as much off the front as he did the back, I almost looked bald at this point! This is but the final straw, a story like this happens every single time. This has nothing to do with skill at hair cutting, you do not need a degree or any experience in cutting hair to listen. This establishment does not do walk-ins, only appointments, they churn people out as fast as possible; they simply do not care enough. I wonder why is it that every review for this place is good, I do not understand. Here is my theory, most people just go in, get their hair cut like everyone else, and want that generic style. If that is what you want, there is no better place, but if you want a specific style that defies their preconceived notions: you are better off cutting it yourself."

"You'll find a great vibe & friendly service here. Additionally the space decor has a modern, urban feel that'll remind you a bit of city loft spaces from somewhere like Portland, OR which I LOVE. My barber Dan Kunzinger does a great job with the cut and making you feel welcome. This is an awesome spot!"
