"My mother and I started going to Ohara in 2021 -- it was the first nail salon experience I'd had in over a year as a result of the pandemic. We were first drawn there by its cleanliness and willingness to comply with Covid protocols. The very sweet owner who was there at the time sold a few months later, but we were blessed when Yuni bought the salon. Yuni genuinely cares about her customers and makes sure that my nails stay healthy. She even special-ordered a design product that I wanted to put on my nails for my wedding, and it looked so great that in a few of my wedding photos, you can see my nails sparkling. Yuni also set the record straight with me after I received some misinformation about dip powder gel manicures, and that's all I get now! The rest of the staff is also sweet and accommodating, some offering massages while you wait for your nails to dry. While the signage isn't great from Glen Cove Avenue, please don't sleep on Ohara. The signage makes it harder to find so please spread the word! You will feel so taken care of. Other area nail salons are not always so welcoming."

"Had my birthday nails done with a gel pedicure. The customer service is excellent and friendly. The owner is very patient and did an amazing job on my nails. I had done UV Gel refill with design. Definitely returning to get my nails done!"
"Super clean with sterilized tools for each person. I was unhappy with the first color I had done so I went back (which I was nervous to do) and the owner redid it for me and they came out beautiful. Highly recommend!"
"Love this salon!! Tried it for the first time today and was blown away! Can’t believe I didn’t find this hidden gem sooner! They are so clean and provide such amazing service. Sam did my nails and he was so good!! He paid attention to details and my nails came out fabulous. Will definitely be back."
