This is going to be my new regular dentist office, because this is how I like to be treated."

"Don’t waste your time as a new patient. I really had high hopes for this office because it was in the neighborhood and the reviews were fairly decent. I don’t expect any physician or dentist to have perfect reviews or even administrative staff so this review is not for the dentist because I never saw him. I made the appointment by phone and was told to save time by filling out the new patient forms electronically. My appointment was two weeks away but I decided to do them immediately when I received the text message. I got a call days later asking if I wanted to come in a week early as they had an opening today (Thursday). I was happy that someone took time to prioritize me when something sooner opened up. That made me feel like I made the right choice. I show up on time today (10:10AM) for a 10:15 appointment and when I walked in I was not greeted. Most offices say, “Hello,” or something. I was the only patient in the waiting room. She glossed me over and looked at some papers for a few minutes and was like, “Renée”? I said, “Yes, HELLO!” She then proceeded to hand me a clipboard and told me to fill out paperwork. I mentioned I already did that electronically via the link I was sent and was told she didn’t see it. This irritated me because why have patients do this to save time and not ensure it’s working properly. She looked around again on her computer and was like “I don’t know. I don’t see it.” What she should have said was, “I am so sorry this happened. I will look into the technical problem but if you can fill this out again for the visit, I’d appreciate it and again I am sorry. I can understand your frustration.” I even went as far as telling her I know it’s not your fault but you have to get someone to look into this because it’s problematic. She didn’t care and that was obvious so I told her I didn’t want to be serviced. If you don’t care about your first impression to patients why would I want you handling any of my administrative affairs for my dental visit. It was telling. I also told her that next time she should greet the patients! What a waste of my morning but I am glad I stood my ground and will find a more reputable dentist in Manhattan!"
