Yonkers Family Dentist : Sachar Bhupinder DDS

"You should think carefully about this seeing this dentist. I have United Healthcare insurance, which allows teeth cleaning and an x-ray. At my last appointment, without a prior warning about the additional cost (which he should have been well aware of because I have been his patient for 1 year and have visited his office several times and have had the same insurance) they took some X-rays, which I reasonably assumed were the ones covered by insurance. At the end of the appointment, they told me I owed $65 for the x-ray, which I paid on site. A few days later, I saw the UHC statement that insurance paid him $125 and zero to me. I complained I did not see the $65 that I paid to him in the statement, but he said that the extra x-ray service was not included in the insurance and I needed to pay additionally. They did not explain this to me prior to taking the X-rays or explain why the x-rays were recommended or necessary notwithstanding lack of insurance coverage. I will not be returning to this dentist and do not recommend to others."

"I have had an ongoing negative experience with Yonkers Family Dentist, Dr. Sachar Bhupinder, and his staff, who have demonstrated a tendency to falsely accuse patients and a refusal to take accountability for their actions. While I have typically refrained from leaving Google reviews in the past, I feel it is crucial to share my experience in order to protect future patients from this harmful practice. I initially sought this dentist in good faith and confidence. Unfortunately, Dr. Bhupinder's approach is heavy-handed and caused the area he worked on to break out in sores and ooze blood clots for days. This is not normal for me. I followed up with another dentist who agreed that the work was insufficient. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction with the results and the pain I have been experiencing, Dr. Bhupinder performed a breach of HIPAA, shamelessly disclosing details of my care to family and, most shockingly, online when I tried leaving a review. They lied about the circumstances surrounding my case, disclosed personal information, and misrepresented the timeline of my care. My decision to broadly and briefly explain my story online WAS NOT a grant of consent to continue violating my privacy. I resorted to removing my post in order to protect myself and my health. I still have all the proof of this violation and plan to pursue this further. I am leaving this comment instead as a serious warning for all patients!! This practice is unprofessional, unethical, and untrustworthy. They are negligent with patient information and dishonorable when confronted. I strongly discourage anyone from seeking dental care at Yonkers Family Dentist under the supervision of Dr. Sachar Bhupinder and his front desk worker, Amber. Their practice is marked by unprofessionalism, unethical standards, and a lack of competence. Find a different dentist who respects your choices, provides quality care, and prioritizes patient privacy."

"My experiences with Dr Sachar go back decades. At this point I could not imagine going to another dentist. Dr Sachar is gentle, thorough, knowledgeable and even artistic. Yes, artistic! He is as good at complicated restorations as he is at regular maintenance. Many a smile owes its existence to this fine dentist. Recommended wholeheartedly!"

"Very patient dentist and staff. Dr. Sachar is more focused on the work than the bling that you find at most overcharging dentists. Not too sure how to explain but I do not have any complaints about his work or cost of the work, and highly recommend."
