Autumn Woods

"Have lived here for 3 years. They raised the rent twice- each time over $100 per month (mind you, no actual services have been added for that extra money). The customer service has declined each time. Today alone the office person just randomly put me on hold while I was still talking and never came back on the line. I had put in a maintenance request of leaking water from the weekend that after 5 days no one had bothered to even acknowledge. So, more money per month and worse service? I see you, Greystar."

"I am about to move out to relocate after staying here through 3 years of law school, so figured I would leave a review after reviews helped me decide on a new apartment. Autumn Woods is a great place to live, and was perfect for me through grad school. It is peaceful, well-kept, clean, manicured, etc. The best part of the complex is the people. In the management team, La Shawn and Lisa are just the absolute best. They are friendly and attentive, and I have enjoyed their company occasionally when I stop by the office. I have never once experienced any bit of rudeness from anyone at Autumn Woods. The apartments themselves are not the latest greatest top notch of everything, but everything works and looks nice, and the maintenance team has been great to work with when things stop working. When the apartment over mine flooded and water came in through my roof while I was away for the summer, the maintenance team took care of the issue fairly quickly and Lisa kept me well-informed of their progress while I was away. I have especially enjoyed my balcony overlooking the wooded area at the back of the complex, it’s a great place to find some peace and study amid fresh air. My only complaint (I have to say something to prove I wasn’t bribed!) is that the trash fees amount to around $60/month, which includes valet trash and the cost of disposal itself. This is pretty steep compared to what I’ve seen in other communities. Other than that, I truly haven’t had any issues. If you’re looking in the area, come by and meet Lisa or La Shawn and take a quick tour. If you like what you see, I definitely recommend staying here. I decided on this place after Lisa was so kind and professional giving me a walk-in tour, assuming that this interaction (and Lisa!) reflected the culture here. I was not disappointed!"

"I have lived at Autumn Woods Apartments since 2016, and in that time, I have pleasantly enjoyed living at Autumn Woods and have nothing but nice things to say, but one downfall is, they have a beautiful property but refuse to fix the water sprinklers, and the grass looks God awful and ugly every summer. For the money, we pay to live here you'd think they would take better care of the lawn. Another positive about living at Autumn Woods is the office, Lisa and LaShawn are amazing, respectful, caring, and get the job done. In addition, the maintenance staff is amazing. Again, if the owners would only take pride in taking care of the lawn here, the residents would really be proud of where they live. The few sprinklers on the property that work, water the sidewalk. If only the owners of the property would invest in fixing the water sprinklers, I know many other residents aside from myself would be grateful. Hint, Hint, please fix the darn system. When I moved in, in 2016 the property looked like a golf course, but soon as the summer progresses, it will look like a scene from the Adam’s family. They are painting our buildings, but the lawn takes away from the property’s potential. Please FIX THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM (OWNERS OF THIS PROPERTY)!!!!!!!!"

"I've lived in this lovely apartment complex for 2 years now and wish I didn't have to move. I completed my degree at UNC and will only be here for a little longer probably and might have to relocate due to graduate school elsewhere, but this place is the source of my fondest memories and I will miss it deeply. Management and maintenance staff were wonderful and responsive, everything was convenient, and lovely little pups all around! The only thing in terms of maintenance/cleanliness I wish there was was maybe more dog waste bag/bin combos around so that more people with their pups could pick up their messes, but other than that everything is really clean and well-maintained. As far as staff, during my two years only one was rude and everyone else was lovely---and even with the rude member, I had a compassionate response from management and they resolved my issue as soon as possible. For future residents, take advantage of the events! The community is lovely and quiet and very safe. I'll be really sad when I have to go because I don't think there are as many areas in the triangle as safe as this little place in Carrboro and Autumn Woods in particular! Enjoy your amenities included (valet trash, excellent pest control, easy maintenance requests) with very little extra cost. :) And talk to your neighbors---they are all very friendly!"
