"Today I had unfortunate experience with this clinic and even if it is more convenient I do not plan on returning. I brought my 2 year old golden retriever in 1/13/2024 around 8:30 AM. She woke up vomiting @ 6:45 AM. I took her out and she had diarrhea. Noticed 2 rectangular pieces of something in her poop and collected it. She was very lethargic and obviously not interested in food. I brought her to the ER. My Golden vomited in the exam room. The tech entered the room asked her questions and did the preliminary workup. She was very cordial. The vet came into the room and my Golden barked and growled at her. She has NEVER done that. She really did not do much to befriend just crouched down for an exam. She asked if I was going to breed her not a word about her current condition. I said no and she said she needs to be spayed. I said I do not spay early (I follow Dr. Chris Zink's protocol on spaying). She says 2 years old is not early and I tell her I am responsible owner all the time thinking my dog is sick can we focus on that? She gives me a disgusted look and asks if she is on Heartworm and which one. I tell her. She recommends X-ray and other diagnostics. I have no issue with that I sign and they took her back. The vet comes in afterwards and says she has no obstruction and attempts to show me an x-ray on her I pad. As I try to look she keeps moving away from me. I can't see a thing. The screen is to small and she keeps stepping away. She abruptly says she will send her home on anti nausea drugs and something for diarrhea . I ask her if she looked at the fecal I sent back and the objects in it she rudely snaps back "I have no idea what that is" nothing else. They take her back and she obviously does not want to go back and they proceed to drag her. I step next to her and encourage her to go back. In the meantime I pay the bill and wait. The tech brings her out and proceeds to tell me they were unable to admin the cerenia via IV fluids because she was jerking her leg too much did not offer to do it in the exam room where I was with her or allow me to go back with her. So they administer it IM (I bet that stung like crazy cause that is what cerenia does that is why they try to dilute with saline). They recommended Forti Flora for the diarrhea and told them she gets that in her breakfast daily. She is nothing but a model patient for my Vet and her staff. I am wondering how she will be now. So not only was the Vet rude and not communicative my dog was also not treated fairly, I have had dogs for more than 50 years. I am not a novice owner. I spare no expense. My dogs are an intricate part of my husband's and my life. I would have appreciated being treated with respect and fair care given to my golden. She has no more nausea and she ate a small portion of chicken, rice and pumpkin tonight but still has diarrhea and still lethargic."

"I am SO thankful for this emergency veterinary! My dog had an injury on a holiday close to midnight, and they were the only emergency clinic open anywhere close to where I live. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient. They soothed my sweet dog and myself during her emergency. The clinic was incredibly clean as well, I was impressed and cannot recommend them enough! Thank you for helping us!"

"On Dec.3, we had to take an emergency trip with our old girl to Madison Veterinary Emergency. She was in so much pain and was just a sick sick girl. In the end we had to make the hard decision of letting our girl go. Every person that was there was so very kind to us and let us know every single thing that was going on. The doctor was quite possibly the nicest and most compassionate vet that I have ever met. They were very good to us during such a hard time. I wouldn’t ever hesitate to take another one of my babies to them in the event of an emergency."

"On November 18, 2023 at approximately 10 p.m., I took my Kitty Cat, Leila, to Madison Veterinary Emergency as she had not been her usual self for the past 3 days and was not wanting to eat. I was going to wait until Monday to take her to my Primary Vet if she was not feeling better. However, I knew something was wrong and needed to seek help immediately. Dr. Clare Shannon was the Vet On Duty that night. After examining Leila, she took a Blood Panel. Leila’s Lymphocyte Levels were very Low and her Calcium Levels were very High. Dr. Shannon did perform an Ultrasound and discovered a firm Mass about the size of a Lemon in Leila’s Midsection. Dr. Shannon explained that the results of the Ultrasound along with the Blood Panel Results were pointing toward Lymphoma, Cancer of the Lymphatic System. Dr. Shannon explained this type of Cancer can be very Aggressive and occur in just a week or two. Of course, I was in Shock at that point. Dr. Shannon suggested I take Leila to the Auburn University Emergency Clinic to be fully Evaluated by an Oncologist. The next morning, we headed to Auburn where Leila was Evaluated by the Internal Medicine Team. Unfortunately, the Oncologist confirmed what Dr. Shannon had suspected. High-Grade Lymphoma, a very Aggressive Cancer Mass in her Abdomen and Surgery was not an Option but to the type of Cancer it is. I am currently working with my Primary Vet (Catisfaction in Madison) to try to give Leila the best chance at giving her a bit more time yet still maintain a Quality Life. I was truly impressed with Dr. Shannon and the Vet Techs who treated Leila. They were very Compassionate when sharing with me the Diagnosis that my Little Girl was very, very Sick. I truly appreciate Dr. Shannon being so Straightforward with me, even though the News was not what I was expecting to hear. I definitely would not hesitate to take either of my two Kitties back if the need ever arises again during a time my Primary Vet is not Available."

"My daughter and I took my dog in Tuesday night! I told the doctor the symptoms and she said it sounded like parvo! Never gave a parvo test! Told us that it was very bad and that he would possibly need surgery if his intestines had been busted! Told us he might need to be hospitalized! All she did was give him fluids and tell us to take him to a his vet the next morning! I think it was because she thought we didn't have money.(we did have money we were just trying to do the scratch pay in case he did have to be hospitalized because we didn't have that kind of money)So obviously they're about the money and not the animals! Took my dog Saturday to Gurley Animal Clinic, I highly recommend them! They were booked that day, but when I told her the symptoms she told me to stop what I was doing and bring him in right away! They are very affordable and you can tell they actually care about the animals! She didn't charge us is about the only good thing I can say about this place, but at the same time she didn't do anything but check his temp and give him fluids! This photo below is the NEGATIVE Parvo test from Gurley Animal Clinic! That should have been the very first thing she did,is test him."
