Stop & Shop

"Generally, I hate shopping here. And after dozens visits here, I’m stopping this shop. Drive in & witness THE DIRTIEST LEASE LINE LOT of EVERY retail store outside of CVS within a five mile radius. Trash & litter everywhere—literally in the high hundreds of pieces. Makes me wonder about who cares about the food standards inside. Next, the exterior one-by-one machine recycling booth does not accept cans, plastic or bottles by any manufacturer they don’t stock. That’s not helping… The customer service staff is unfriendly; they don’t smile and zombie walk their way through their day. It’s dispiriting. The fresh fish selection is lame. Much of the butcher section is average at best. The beer section temperature has been set at 42 degrees the past year. Want cold beer? Walk across the street to 7-11. And if ANY employee ever said, “Thank You! See you again!” I would be shocked. Within two miles of this supermarket are three independent grocery stores. That’s where I take my $10,000 yearly food spend these days. I don’t need this Stop & Shop. Today, I am telling them to ‘Stop This Schlock;’ and, now, imploring you to ‘Stop Your Shop’ here. "This place is pretty nice and always has a fairly decent selection. Sometimes parking can be a challenge and the watt is oddly situated which can make getting out confusing but overall, if you are in a hurry and need something quickly, your best bet made to be visiting the other location on Montauk Highway."

"If you enjoy bad customer service then this is the place for you. At 8 am on a monday morning in an empty store their were two older employees standing in-front of their registers chatting because no one was on line. I then found out that this place is so upscale you have to politely interrupt the employees convo to pay for overpriced produce. I was then greeted w scowls while on line. Perhaps if you are a senior citizen scanning packages may not be the job for you."

"It's 5:30pm on a Monday and the store is pretty busy. Yet for some unknown reason, there's 2 manned registers out of 8 that are working. Sure the self checkout stations are fully operational, but I prefer the old fashion way of having a paid cashier ring me up than taking their job and going to self checkout to ring myself up."

"Stop and Shop pricing is very reasonable, has a great loyalty rewards program and is always clean. The staff are always friendly and this is why I only shop here for groceries."
