"Easy unload for the kayaks, great parking, bathroom, and playground."

"There were half dozen fisherman working the shore. Trout is the objective.. There are 2 long, roof sheltered picnic table accommodations, relatively clean. A boat ramp too. A clean 2 room restroom. The drop off into the water is steep and the river is fast, a dangerous place to wade in and fly fish. There is extensive tree foliage making casting a challenge. A large fenced in grass area for throwing a ball or Frisbee or running your dog, but, overall, not exactly kid friendly. If your not fishing or keeping someone company, Meeks Park is a better place to walk and picnic."

"READ THE WARNING ABOUT WATER FLOW CHANGING! We didn't. It changes without much warning and siren won't even go off. The water goes from wading paradise to 4+ ft higher and you cannot kayak back! We called Blue Ridge Mountain Kayaking (I highly recommend them!! Awesome service and great people) to pick us up from the next put in. Other than that, it's the trout mecca of North Georgia."
