"I went in the steele creek branch today because my son had an account there before he passed away last month. I wanted to try and freeze his accounts because his email keeps showing a negative balance. I told the 1st woman I spoke to why I was there, and she asked me to sit in the waiting area. I was the only person there at the time, so I could hear her explaining what I was there for. The woman who came to assist me loudly grumbled, " why can't she use a phone, instead of coming in here? " before coming to assist me. I explain, again, why I'm there and her exact response is, unless it's a joint account I can't help you until the death certificate arrives. When it does, you can bring it in and pay his debts."

"The worst customer service EVER. They lost alot of good employees. Now the ones that they have now. Have noooooo sense of good customer service. I've been with SunTrust 12 yrs and I have never dealt with anything like this. It's so bad that I decided to close out all of my accounts and take my money to a bank who will appreciate me. Cause today when I told the branch manager that I was closing my accounts. She could have cared less. She still gets her check regardless if I leave. It's sad that this branch has turned into this type of place. Hope they get new people in there once they merge with BB & T."

"I'm the opposite of one of the other reviewers. This branch is the closest to me however because of the poor service I travel an extra 20 mins to a different branch. To be fair over the months the two tellers that I normally get are always 5 star and make you want to come back. However one of the people who has there own desk and also the branch manager are less than professional. Their people skills and personalities are not what you would expect in this kind of position. No follow up, rarely can get them on the phone, rarely call back. The managers voice mail even says it could be 24 hours before she could return your call. (in the 21st Century?) Upfront she is telling you that her time is worth more than yours. So if you called them on a Friday morning when they opened you might not hear from them until Monday. The rare time she did call back I couldn't get to the phone in time and no voicemail. Caller ID was the only way I knew there was a call from Suntrust. Her time is so much more important than the few seconds to leave the answer to the current issue. My overall experience with Suntrust over the years has been good. This branch has been the exception."
